Jayden was hit with what has to be described as this years roto virus. Last week Jayden was sick in Wednesday and Alison stayed with him on Wednesday and I stayed with him on Thursday. Then Friday night he got the worse part of it. He had diarrhea, very very bad. He was going to the bathroom one or twice an hour. And Jayden's bottom was so sore... It was miserable trying to help him though. He begged us not to touch him... I almost got to the point of crying for him. I wanted to take the pain and give it to myself. We lathered him up with so many different Creams, Butt Paste, Desitin, a doctor perscribed one, but the best was Aveno diaper rash lotion. We put it all over him and then we put it on the diapers... Finally by Wednesday he was feeling better.
Then the good.
Jayden got to spend the night with his Grandparents the Lee's. He got to make a Gingerbread house and had a great time there. He was very excited about the prospect of sleeping with Molly. Jayden then spent Saturday with the other Grandparents. I know he loved it by seeing his face when we came home. He was very happy. I go grateful for the love that Jayden has surrounding him. He are blessed... Happy Holidays!!!

Hi again!
What a fun time we had this weekend with Jayden. He was very intent on getting the train decorated until he realized how good the candy tasted. So he started sharing it with his "Grampa" so he could have some too. The next morning I got the train down for him to see and went, "Mmm" and started licking it; then he tried a bite which I thought was going to break his teeth. Good stuff! (I'm enclosing a picture of the decorating fete.)
As for Molly - when he couldn't keep track of her, he quickly jumped in her bed (much to our chagrin).
Do you remember the storybook "Where is Baby Jesus" from last year's Christmas Eve service? Well - I was able to get a copy of it on ebay (since it's out of circulation). Normally, Jayden hasn't been sticking with books very long lately - but we had to go through that book at least 10 times and each time he laughed more hysterically since I kind of hammed it up with the responses. What fun! We're hoping he'll help me with that book Christmas Eve instead of reading the Christmas story. Then maybe Rocky & Maverick can find the pieces of the manger scene we're reading about. We'll see; children are so unpredictable that one can only plan and see what happens.
Sending my love . . .your other mother
